Oh, love of mine. This might be my college's fall musical, and I'm crossing my fingers that they pick it. I mean, what's not to like? Fops, big dresses, wigs, and exciting (slightly nonhistorical) plots are nothing short of awesome.

26, 28. A scarlet pimpernel's a rather weed-like flower, when you look it it. (Surprising that no one's ever adopted a dandelion as their symbol.)

Taking a few of the 1982 ones. Haven't decided which ones yet... Love your comments (Ian McKellan is hilarious as Chauvelin, especially when you've only ever seen him as Gandalf). I'm hoping to get the 1934 on DVD sometime, except according to most of the discussions I've seen the only half-decent DVD copy is a Region 2 British DVD. You'd think Criterion Collection or one of those groups would restore it - I've seen the awful DVD version I got from Netflix, and it was good, plotwise. I love the 82 version, but I wish they'd kept more of the book plot.
