The books are not my favourite YA novels - in my opinion, Libba Bray's A Great and Terrible Beauty trilogy presents a much more fully fleshed-out fantasy world - but they are definitely addictive page turners.
(I think Stephenie Meyer may have intended them for a younger audience, like my little sister, who don't pick up on so many of the character flaws and plot holes.)
